I met Aralyn McGregor soon after she had left teaching to pursue painting full-time. McGregor’s energy and focus as an independent artist were clear upon meeting her. It reminded me of the rush I experienced when going solo and working for myself for the first time. After checking out her website, I was impressed by her work. Spending an afternoon in her studio, I shot video and stills of McGregor preparing for her solo show, “Muse”.
